Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Luke 12:27
I hope you will enjoy my reflections on faith. I believe that God is good, and also that it is helpful and very interesting to get to know him better (and ourselves, and our relationships). Now it would be really nice if I could simply accept the good news and be happy with the manifold gifts that God gave us, but unfortunately I tend to make things more complicated, and I struggle continuously with a lot of difficulties and objections and doubts, see for example My relationship with God. Writing is my way to come to grips with what I do and don’t believe, and to clear my mind. I hope that sharing my struggles will be helpful to you.
I have learned that dealing with questions and doubts and pain works best if I relax a bit and try to be open. Open to myself, my own struggles, but also open to others, to the world, to what God says. See for example Warmth of Friendliness where I explain how being friendly to myself really helps. One experience is especially dear to me, and in memory of that I have called this site ‘Considering Lilies‘.
